A 25-year old 35mm Agfa 400 ASA negative was scanned at 4000
dpi to give the first result (below). It was scanned without
Digital ICE and then reduced to 500 pixels wide to view here.
Scratches and blemishes due to handling and damp storage
conditions are clearly visible. Click the image for a larger

The process was then repeated with Digital ICE4
scratch and blemish removal applied. Click the image for a

The image was then rescanned a third time but with Digital ICE4
plus
ROC and GEM colour restoration and grain management tools
applied. One minute's Adobe Photoshop work was required to
remove the last traces of the mould. Click the image for a
